What is Glest: Evolution?

Glest: Evolution is a website where you will find the best mods made for the 3D real time strategy game Glest. We distribute them compiled (in .zip and .tar.gz) and in certain conditions (we call them: easyExtension format) that guarantees the files are as small as possible, that no mods (also called extensions) are overwritten and include an HTML document (= a webpage) explaining how to install it and some modifications you can make to the mod.

What do we want?

Our main objectiv is to provide hosting for all good Glest extensions and ensure everybody can use them. We also want to provide,if there's enought interest, a contact point between end-users and mod developers and help building a real open source community for this game.

We also have a project, Glevolution (project website), that indends to create our own Glest distribution. It should include more translations, the best mods and have code improvements and new features (such as the possibility to save the game or do multiplayer games).
